Delta State Governor Represented by Chief Adviser at 80th Birthday Celebration of Rev. Dr. Felix Ilaweagbon Omobude.

The Executive Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, was ably represented by Sen. Chief Ighoyota Amori, PhD, Chief Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State, at the 80th birthday celebration of Rev. Dr. Felix Ilaweagbon Omobude, General Superintendent of Gospel Light International Ministries (New Covenant Gospel Church).

The celebration, held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Peniel Convention Centre, Ohovbe Road, off Agbor Park, Ikpoba Hill in Benin City, Edo State, formed part of a series of activities marking the 80th birthday of the respected cleric, theologian, and Christian leader.

Representing Governor Oborevwori, Sen. Chief Ighoyota Amori, PhD, conveyed the goodwill and warm felicitations of the Delta State Government, describing Rev. Dr. Omobude as a distinguished servant of God whose decades of ministry have made significant contributions to spiritual growth, moral leadership, and theological scholarship in Nigeria.

He commended the celebrant for his enduring commitment to faith, integrity, and the advancement of Christian learning, noting that Rev. Omobude’s life and ministry continue to inspire generations within and beyond the church community.

The 80th birthday celebration is themed “Celebrating a Legacy of Faith, Family, Integrity & Learning,” reflecting the remarkable impact of Rev. Omobude’s lifelong dedication to spiritual service, family values, and intellectual engagement in Christian ministry.

Activities marking the milestone birthday began on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with the Felix Ilaweagbon Omobude Colloquium and eBook Presentation at Lighthouse University, located along the Benin–Asaba Expressway in Evbuobanosa near Abudu, Edo State.

This was followed by A Night of Praises on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Peniel Convention Centre in Benin City, where worshippers, church leaders, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the life and ministry of the revered cleric through songs of praise and thanksgiving.

The events will conclude with the 80th Birthday Thanksgiving Service scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, also at the Peniel Convention Centre in Benin City.

Rev. Dr. Felix Ilaweagbon Omobude is widely respected for his leadership and scholarship, and his legacy continues to shape Christian ministry and theological discourse in Nigeria and beyond.
