The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Sen. (Chief) Dr. Ighoyota Amori, has extended his warm congratulations to Chief Barr. Napoleon Emefe on his installation as the new Otota (Traditional Prime Minister) of Mosogar Kingdom.
Chief Amori, a former Otota of Mosogar Kingdom, relinquished the position following the completion of the rite of passage of Udurhie the 1st, adhering to the tradition that prohibits an Otota from serving two monarchs.
In a statement released on Saturday, Chief Amori expressed his joy and confidence in Chief Barr. Napoleon Emefe’s leadership capabilities, citing his wisdom, experience, and commitment to supporting Mosogar Kingdom’s traditional leadership.
The Otota position holds significant importance in the kingdom’s traditional structure, serving as the Traditional Prime Minister and key adviser to the king on matters affecting the people.
Chief Amori prayed for a peaceful and successful tenure for the new Otota, urging him to collaborate with His Royal Majesty, Uduaka I, the Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom, and the Oguedion Council of Chiefs and Elders.
He also called upon Mosogar’s sons and daughters, both at home and abroad, to rally behind the new Otota, fostering unity, peace, and development in the kingdom.
Mosogar Kingdom boasts a rich cultural heritage and robust traditional institutions, which Chief Amori emphasized must be preserved and respected.
The installation of Chief Barr. Napoleon Emefe marks a significant milestone in Mosogar Kingdom’s history, with Chief Amori expressing hope that his leadership will unify the people.
Chief Amori commended the traditional ruler and council of chiefs for ensuring a smooth transition of the Otota stool, wishing the new Otota divine guidance and success in his new role.
