Prof. Eric Eboh Assumes Office as UNIDEL VC, Unveils “RAISE” Agenda

Professor Eric Chiedum Eboh formally assumed office as the second Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delta, Agbor, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

He succeeds Professor Stella Chiemeke, the pioneer Vice-Chancellor who led the institution since its establishment in 2021.

Prof. Chiemeke’s five-year tenure was credited with laying UNIDEL’s foundational academic and administrative structures.

In his inaugural address, Prof. Eboh unveiled a five-point development blueprint tagged “Project RAISE UNIDEL Higher”.

He explained that the acronym RAISE captures the core pillars of his administration’s vision for the university.

The new VC said his leadership will be anchored on “growth and sustainability” across all university operations.

He pledged to run the institution with transparency, integrity, and broad-based collaboration.

Staff, students, and stakeholders were urged to support the agenda to elevate UNIDEL’s national and global standing.

Prof. Eboh affirmed his commitment to building on existing gains while driving innovation and excellence.

A – Academic Excellence: Upholding the highest standards in teaching, learning, and academic management.

I – ICT Optimization: Advancing digitalization across teaching, research, administration, and service delivery.

S – Staff Professional Development and Welfare: Maintaining a motivated and productive workforce through continuous professional growth.

E – Environment Conducive for Stakeholders: Ensuring a favourable operating environment for students, staff, and external partners.
