Chief Oghenekevwe Mathew Aghomi, the Amakashe 1 of Idjerhe Kingdom, visited the Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Chief Dr Ighoyota Amori, on Tuesday, 21st April 2026.
The visit took place at the Chief Adviser’s office in Asaba and centered on prayers to continued consultations for his bid to represent Ethiope West Constituency
Chief Aghomi is seeking election to the Delta State House of Assembly to represent the people of Ethiope West Constituency at the State House of Assembly
He was warmly received by Sen. Chief Dr Amori, who is a Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, and a Political leader in Ethiope West LGA.
During the meeting, Chief Aghomi restated his commitment to offering quality representation to constituents if elected to the Assembly.
He explained that the visit was part of his ongoing statewide consultations with respected leaders and stakeholders across Ethiope West.
The Amakashe 1 of Idjerhe Kingdom requested prayers and guidance from Sen. Amori as he advances his political ambition.
He noted that his traditional title binds him to the cultural heritage and development aspirations of Idjerhe Kingdom and Ethiope West at large.
Chief Aghomi said his legislative focus would cover infrastructure renewal, education support, youth empowerment, and agricultural development.
Sen. Amori commended Chief Aghomi for his humility, respect for political hierarchy, and dedication to seeking counsel before declaring fully.
The Chief Adviser to the Governor urged him to maintain issue-based consultations and to prioritize peace and unity throughout his campaign.
The visit concluded with prayers for wisdom, protection, and success in his political journey, followed by a brief interactive session with the SA to the Chief Adviser Sir Julius Atufe.
