Former Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has formally entered the race for the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
He is seeking to represent the Toto/Gadabuke State Constituency.
Tashas obtained the All Progressives Congress expression of interest and nomination forms on Monday.
The purchase was made at the APC State Secretariat in Lafia.
He was accompanied by party stakeholders, supporters, and chieftains from Toto and Gadabuke districts.
The development was confirmed in a statement by his Media Director, Yahaya Idris Toto.
According to the statement, the move marks an intensification of preparations ahead of the party’s primary elections.
Speaking with journalists after picking the forms, Tashas outlined his agenda for the constituency.
He pledged to deliver quality representation if elected into office.
Tashas also promised equitable distribution of resources across the constituency.
He thanked the people of Toto Local Government Area for their support during and after his tenure as council chairman.
Tashas previously served as Special Adviser on Conflict Resolution to the Nasarawa State Governor.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the interests of Toto/Gadabuke and promoting inclusive development.
