2027: ETHIOPE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY BACKS EDE DAFINONE FOR SENATE ~ AMORI

The Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Senator Ighoyota Amori, PhD, formally declared the full support of the Ethiope Federal Constituency for the re-election of Senator Ede Dafinone.

The declaration was made on Sunday, 26th April 2026, at Oharisi Primary School in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

Chief Amori, who also serves as Chairman of the Ethiope Federal Constituency, addressed party leaders, stakeholders, and constituents gathered at the venue.

He stated that the people of Ethiope Federal Constituency have resolved to back Senator Ede Dafinone for another term in the National Assembly.

Senator Dafinone currently represents Delta Central Senatorial District, popularly referred to as the Urhobo Nation, in the Senate.

Speaking on behalf of the constituency, Chief Amori delivered a firm and direct endorsement of the serving senator.

He said: “If it’s by consensus, we will consensus Ede; if it’s by direct primary, we will direct primary Ede.”

The statement drew applause from supporters and reaffirmed the political alignment of Ethiope leaders behind Dafinone’s candidacy.

Chief Amori noted that the decision followed wide consultations with leaders and stakeholders across Ethiope East and Ethiope West.

He described Senator Dafinone as a lawmaker who has given effective representation to the Urhobo Nation at the federal level.

According to him, the constituency’s position is to ensure continuity and stability in Delta Central’s representation in the Senate.

The event at Oharisi Primary School brought together party faithful, community leaders, women, and youth groups from the constituency.

Chief Amori urged constituents to remain united and committed to the collective political interest of the Ethiope Federal Constituency.

He added that the endorsement reflects the confidence of the people in Senator Dafinone’s capacity to deliver for Delta Central.

The declaration marks an early political move ahead of the 2027 general elections as parties prepare for the nomination process.
