The College of Executive Assistants in Delta State has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Simon Onosakponome.
The visit took place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Jesse, Ethiope West Local Government Area.
Hon. Onosakponome, popularly known as Hon. Onosa Onosa, served until his death as Executive Assistant, Political, to the Delta State Governor.
His passing is considered a significant loss to the administration and to Idjerhe Kingdom, his community of origin.
The delegation was dispatched by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State.
The Governor mandated the College of Executive Assistants to formally convey his sympathies to the bereaved family.
Leading the delegation was Chief Duncan Eghweree, Secretary of the College of Executive Assistants in Delta State.
He was joined by Hon. Christian Onome Amori, Chief Benson Okorodudu, Chief Barr. Austin Atiti PhD, Dr Isaac Omomedia, Lt. Col. Moses Abeke Rtd, Rt. Hon. Nelson Owoso, senior members of the college, and Others
On arrival, the team was received by members of the late aide’s immediate and extended family.
Chief Eghweree delivered the Governor’s condolence message, describing Hon. Onosa as a loyal and diligent public servant.
He noted that the deceased played a key role in political coordination and grassroots engagement across the state.
The late Executive Assistant was praised for his humility, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to duty.
Members of the college recalled his efforts in bridging the gap between government and constituents.
The delegation offered prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and for strength for his family.
They assured the family that the state government and the College of Executive Assistants stand with them in this period of grief.
